At the beginning of any school year, we are excited to get to know our new students. That process starts the minute we see our class list. We go to CUM folders to look at their photos, and we try to find one small thing about them that allows us to make a connection on that very first day. We talk to them on Muffin Morning and the first week is about questioning. Those first exchanges set the scene for the year to come and, as teachers, we revel in those moments. This year we have been lucky enough to have iPads for every student from Day 1. Fourth grade students have been using their iPads to tell their teachers a little about themselves.
