Third Grade is an exciting place to be! Not only are students engaging in iPad activities, they have also started to make the famous Hot Air Balloons! Third Grade are all set up and beginning to use the app Notability to access documents on the Student Shared, annotate them, and share them with their teacher. We are also working on using Subtext for reading. Subtext is a powerful app that enables students to interact with a book, an article or a webpage. They can listen to it being read and make notes documenting their understanding. I have managed to get in to most of the second and third grade classes to roll out their iPads. After a brief introduction and reminder of the importance of digital responsibility we got to the task of setting up our iPads. We made sure they had their floating home button, we set up Gmail and iFiles and got to working on the app 'Skitch'.
